Se omtale i Viborg Stifts Folkeblad. Se også kors i kirken.

Flying Officer (Pilot) Niels Juul Rysensteen Buchwald, 29 år, blev dræbt som pilot på SPI PT718.

"Niels Juul Rysensteen Buchwald, born 1.8.1915, Flight Lieutenant in The Royal Danish Navy, joined the
R.A.F. 1943, fallen for Denmark´s freedom and honour in an aerial battle over Schoondijke, Holland 13.10.1944.
Erected by a circle of compatriots."

Residents of Schoondijke provided a neat plot, but shortly after the liberation of Denmark the family had the
deceased airman repatriated to his native country (Source: FAF), where he rests here in the family plot in
Bislev Churchyard since 2 November 1946. See press cuttings. See also a cross in the church.
